| One of the toughet men on the roster. Jesse Russell exemplifies brute nature with sensitive emotion in his matches. Those he is most of the time a cruel individual to his opponents, there is no doubt that Russell can feel pain for himself and for others he cares about. Russell came to NCW by way of Poppa Crush and Matt Xtreme. Two old friends, two different stories. In his debut, Russell had a choice to make, he culd either allign with Crush and be apart of the New World Order, or he could join Xtreme and Sean Cena's fight against them. In the end, Russell chose Xtreme and that would forever pave the way for what was to come in the future. Russell won his first title in NCW at Total Mayhem 2002 in a Tag Team Elimination Chamber. He along with Cena defeated the nWo to become the World Champion. A remarkable achivement for him in his first month in the confines of the company. At SuperNet, Russell main evented along with is former friend Xtreme, in an Iron Man Match to unify the World and Undisputed titles. Russell won that night and became the first ever NCW Heavyweight Champion, further soldifying himself as the real deal. The glory didn't last however, as he lost the title a month later to Xtreme at Adrenaline 2003. But that loss didn't hinder Russell one bit, he continued to strive for greatness and defeated any obstacle that came his way. Currently, Russell is involved in a confusing feud with long time friend Sean Cena. They recently won the NCW Tag Team Championships from Cn'N in what looked to be like a fluke. The question remains if Cena and Russell can remain a unit, but after what was seen during their match, that is doubtful. |
