Lynn Mills class of 58, Bountiful High, UT
Welcome!
Come on in and pull up a chair. People
always feel at home when they come to visit us and I wouldn't have this
site any different so lean back, kick off your shoes and relax while I
throw another log on the fire. Over there on the mantle are pictures
of our five children, Jessie, David, Dale, Beverly and Linda. They are
all married now and we have 15 grandchildren, (one set of twins), 5
grandsons and 10 grand daughters. Family is our number one
hobby. We believe strongly as our church does that families are
forever, literally. We believe that our loved ones will be an integral
part of our eternal life. That relationships here on earth will
continue after this life. As Andrew Jackson said
shortly before his death, "Heaven will be no heaven to me if I do not
meet my wife there."
Growing up I anticipated going to school, driving
a
car, getting married and many other things. One thing that I didn't
anticipate though was the thrill of watching our children become adults
and talking with them instead of to them. I didn't anticipate the
intense friendships that develops with maturity or our children
becoming some of our best friends. This took me by surprise and it is a
source of the greatest satisfaction and comfort. If you would like more
info about the eternal nature of families email me.
My Wife
Thinks my Lab is Her
Kitchen!
I am a
mad
scientist at heart and probably a
second cousin to Gyrogearloose, an old Walt Disney character. I love to
experiment and explore new ideas.
I was a miserable student in my school years but the 12th grade was
great. I graduated in
1958
from Bountiful High
School in Bountiful, UT. Through it all I some how learned enough to
score the highest score ever achieved on a general knowledge test given
to 20,000 plus people over the years,
by Hill Air Force Base. At Hill AFB I work in
aircraft sheet
metal,
aircraft instrument repair, air data computers, Minute man missile
repair, and micro film. I have managed watch repair departments in
Sears Spokane, WA, where my wife and I met, dated and became engaged,
and Sears Ogden UT.
My wife, Carla, thinks my lab is her
kitchen! She cooks on my four burner Bunsen and uses my lab utensils
for dishes. One of my inventions almost flew. Imperial Toy company paid
our air fare on two occasions to fly down and negotiate a contract for
royalties on the invention. There was a problem with the formula that
made it difficult to market and the deal fell through. That was over 20
years ago
and now with a much better formula we are negotiating again with a toy
company. Twenty plus years ago we researched the libraries at Weber
state University and the university of Utah and we were unable to find
a solution to the problem. Now thanks to the Internet we were able to
find the answers
we needed. The invention was ordinary soap bubbles that
blew from a
bubble
wand like ordinary soap bubbles but unlike ordinary bubbles our
bubbles dried in mid air before reaching the floor.
You can see pictures of the old formula dry soap bubbles at http://www.oocities.org/wwindmills/linkpge/bubpage.html
The
bubbles float around the room and can be bounced off the hand. Sizes
range from over 14" down to 1" with an ordinary wand and even larger or
smaller with special wands. A one and a half inch
bubble
weighs about 1/10,000 of a gram as weighed in a lab using a very
sensitive Melter
gram scale. The bubbles were so light that out doors in sunlight the
sun
heats the interior of the bubbles and they climb into the air like a
hot air balloon
until they are out of sight. What an awesome sight it is to watch
thousands of rainbow colored, glistening, sparkling, bubbles climbing
into an azure blue sky. The previous bubble description is of the old
formula. Due to legal reasons the new formula can not be described
here...yet.
Currently I am trying to find funding
for another invention. Many years ago I found a new and very effective
way to fight forest fires and wild fires. Over the years My brother
Galen and I have developed and improved it into a fire fighting system
that will help extinguish wild fires faster, better, and at far less
cost than current methods. Now we need money for final testing and to
secure the patents. If you are interested in participating with us in
this venture you may contact me at the email address below for more
information. I am quite confident that this will be a low risk high
yield investment. The royalties should be significant.
My hobbies include
inventing/experimenting, gardening,
clock repair and restoration, especially old old clocks. Gold Panning,
fossil and mineral hunting, writing fiction, cartooning, (click
here
to see a few of over 400 duck cartoons I have created.) stereo
pictures, holograms and other sundry and assorted things that tweak my
curiosity. I would love to here from you. I enjoy emails and I try to
answer all of them. You may contact me by an email to:

Update
May, 2007
I now have less
hair and more gray and about 20 pounds lighter. AlsoI
have been told that I have early Parkinson's so as you can imagine I am
re-thinking my priorities. Some pursuits suddenly seem trivial while
others take on more importance and urgency.
