This mystery clock was invented many years ago by my father Clyde Wm.
Mills of Bountiful Utah. The clock hung on the wall in my folks living
room and mystified
visitors for years. Everything but the hands
and the number ring are transparent. There is no hint of electrical
cord or batteries. The hands freely spin on a shaft
made out of a straight pin. They constantly tell the correct time and
yet float completely free. You can spin both hands and even spin them
in opposite directions and they will always settle down to the right
time. When turned over the numbers read counter clockwise and the hands
turn that way to. There is no visible mechanism or gears. Can you solve
the mystery
clocks secret? Email me to ask questions or if you think that you can
solve
the mystery. If you are the first to unravel the
mystery I will place your name or if you prefer your screen name in the
winners place of honor under the
clock. I will also publish the 2nd and 3rd place winners. Email me (Mr.) Lynn at the following email address, wwindmills@comcast.net with your hunch, conjecture, theory or guesses as to how you think the clock works and I will respond by telling you if you are right or wrong! Here is your chance to show how smart you are but you will have to think outside the box to solve this mystery! |
