Teaser: We see a boy being chased through the woods in Cheney, Texas. Once caught, a stake is driven through the boy's chest, then we see that it is Mulder who had been chasing the boy. He believes this boy is a Vampire when he shows Scully the teeth, but she is quick to discover the teeth were fake. Then we hear Mulder say, "Aw, shhhhh...." and the theme rolls.

When the episode comes back, M&S are in the office, discussing the $446 million dollar lawsuit Ronnie Strickland's mother was suing the bureau for. Mulder is obviously frustrated, jumping on the trash can a bit, and finally telling Scully that he wanted to make sure they had their stories straight. M: "Prison, Scully, your cellmate's nickname is gonna be Large Marge...she's gonna read a lot of Gertrude Stein." So this convinces Scully to begin telling her side of the story...from the beginning. She describes Mulder as being characteristically exuberant, slapping down plane tickets to go to Texas and running slides of dead cows. M: "Too bad, we got 'em, check it out." They go to Cheney where they meet Sheriff Lucious Hartwell.
