Teaser: Two Jehovah's Witnesses are riding their bikes through a neighborhood. They stop at the first house with the red car with Betty plates. The red-haired lady sends them on their way. They reach another house just down the street with a blue car with Lulu plates. The men noticed this woman looks exactly like the previous woman, then the men start beating each other up.

When the episode comes back, we see the backs of two FBI agents that look suspiciously like M&S. It turns out it's another pair of FBI agents just like M&S (like their own twins. *L*) and when Lulu goes by, they start beating each other up on the front lawn. After this incident, M&S get the case in their office.
MULDER: Each agent sustained critical injuries. Their individual stories eerily similar. As if they'd temporarily
lost their minds. Unable to alter behavior. You might imagine I'm guessing past lives unresolved; fate stalking them like an animal --
SCULLY: -- but you're not.
MULDER: The strange thing is, these particular agents had worked together for over seven years without previous incident.
SCULLY: Seven years…?
MULDER: They are not romantically involved, if you're wondering.
SCULLY: Not even I'd be so farfetched.
