Before a Feeding Record for a particular Animal can be entered, you must first make sure you have previously created the Animal Record.

To Add / Update Feeding Records

1. Click the Add / Update Records Menu and then Select Feeding.
2. The Feeding Form will appear onscreen. Click the ADD Button to post your new Feeding Record.
3. TAB through the various Fields and fill-in whatever amount of information you have. Required Fields will be highlighted in RED. TIP: Hold your mouse pointer on a particular field, and some help tips will appear onscreen.
4. Make sure you Click the UPDATE Button to save your changes!

NOTES:

• Since most Animals don't eat whenever we try to feed them, the Feeding Form becomes vital to determining just which Animals ate what, and when. The Hungry Herps tool makes use of this information and quickly displays a list of all your Hungry Herps, along with a Shopping List of food items you will need to feed them.
• The Species and Animal Feeding Intervals are used to calculate when an Animal needs feeding. Species Intervals will be used Unless you Update the Animal Interval in the Inventory Record for a specific Animal. You may want to do this if an Animal is being Medicated, is being Cooled Down, or is Pregnant.
• Generally, you can input or edit data in the Magenta colored fields. The Yellow colored fields are information from associated tables, and are usually frozen. If you want to change something that shows up as Yellow, you will have to Open the Data Entry Form for the associated table and make your change there.
• If you need additional Help filling out this form, just click on the Data Entry Help Button in the upper left corner.
• If you need to Update an existing Record, just use the FIND Menu at the Bottom of the Form. You should notice that you can FIND Records a number of different helpful ways on different Forms.
