Hey, long time, no see or update! It's amazing, but I am still alive! And never fear, some actual writings are here! I added a sequel to the little ficlet "Deify Him," which is equally small and is called "Shelter."

For even more fun, there's the new series that I've worked on a bit in my Creative Writing class, starting with an assignment last year and continuing through assignments in the present. It's a series of fairly independent sketches, starring a group of goth (I prefer "gawth" to describe them, as they're really pathetic) losers who think their band is the hottest shit ever to hit the fan. If you're looking for purposely bad poetry and all manner of delusions of grandeur, check out "The Nosferatu on Sunday Series."

Just more idiotic extras added for my own entertainment, specifically, The Zelly Phone Song, as I decided to call it. Anybody who's a fan of Zell Dincht from Final Fantasy VIII will either love this song, or try to kill me for being so ridiculous.

July 19, 2006
To house what I hope will be a growing section on the site in the future, I created a new branch of the Resources page: a page for rants, appropriately titled "Rants!". There is just one rant on there, and that's what I affectionately call "The One in Which I Rant About Angstbunny Characters." Basically, it's about how bad, cheap angst ruins fanfiction and turns an otherwise interesting character or story into a travesty and a crime against nature. If you're interested in writing tips or problems with fandom, this one is for you!

April 15, 2006
After reading Ten Little Peeves by Sandy and the Bitkahs, I remembered that out on the wide, wide Internet, I had my own rants about Mary Sues and Gary Stus; because I maintain this site more than I do any other of my offshoot sites, I moved my self-insertion ramblings here. They're in the Resources section, under "Regarding Self-Insertions." Those who like to hear my attempt at dryly mocking bad writing, and those who want to see a Mary Sue parody I typed up about two years ago now - it's still morbidly fascinating to me, I admit! - head on over. Thank you and have a spendiforous day!

April 1, 2006
All right! Maybe I'm getting the ball rolling again, and maybe this is a false alarm, but over my spring break, I wrote and posted a new Final Fantasy VIII fic, "Ever Since." As usual, it debuted on LJ and came here a few days after the fact. The main pairing is meant to be a surprise, or at least a little unexpected, but it features some onscreen SquallxIrvine, and SeiferxQuistis is implied. I want to add that it is NC-17, and is the first time that I've written phone sex, not read it in somebody else's story or fic. I'm a little anxious to hear a review or two, some kind of reaction. Please?

February 1, 2006
With the first real fanfiction update since last summer, I've produced one ficlet for one of my pet fandoms, Final Fantasy - specifically, Final Fantasy VIII. It's different from my typical fare in one fundamental area: it's a het fic. I wrote the ficlet for OTP week, celebrating RaijinxFuujin (or RaijinxFujin, though I prefer the former spelling) in a romantic relationship. The ficlet in question is "Glaring Facts" - opinions are even more welcome on this than anything else, as I don't often write het or go for such unusual couples!

Also, as an added, er, bonus, the "Extras" page is now up. Two silly, pointless features are on there: a Final Fantasy VIII script ficlet for Irvine and his butterfly (hence the title, "The Infamous Butterfly Script") and the Livejournal Tribute Song lyrics. Please, for your sake, do not ask.

Anybody searching for my fics at AdultFanFiction.Net will be sorely disappointed. My account there has been deleted, once by a bug in the system, and a second time because someone diligent has discovered that I wasn't old enough to be using their site as a hosting ground. Isn't that delightful? In the meantime, I am at work on a fanfic that will not be posted here for completion issues (in case it doesn't get finished, I don't want anyone's hopes up) but should be done eventually. Please bear with me. Any drabbles and extra dorky stuff should probably get either its own page or added to the fiction page.

I was signed up with AFFN and no one did a thing when I was fourteen, but I suppose that their new owners are cracking down. Sorry, everybody. MediaMiner still hosts a few of my fics. I'm thinking that the only other place I will try to submit is at Noire Sensus for Final Fantasy VIII. Thanks for putting up with this long blah blah blah!

July 6, 2005
After ages of hesitation, lack of inspiration, and generally slacking, I'm back to the site and trying to get up a few of my RP-based fics. One of them, a little drabble, is already up, after a few hours over at Livejournal, where my RP partner has already read it and approved of it. She says that it has a dispassionate tone, with which I'm inclined to agree. There may be some information about the main character, Kyo, that isn't immediately clarified in the drabble; for that information, visit the post in my journal that contains the drabble's debut. If you're interested, that is. It's not required to understand the story.

Another fanfic? And I'm not joking? Armageddon is not upon us. The new fic, "Absorption and Reflection of Light," is. It's another Rurouni Kenshin fic, rated R for less explicit guy on guy sex, hinted elements of cross-dressing, the works. Not a long fic, but a lot happens in such a short space. I won't reveal the main pairing, though it's hardly going to be a real surprise to anyone who knows me. In case anyone wondered, yes, this fic did debut in my Livejournal, breaking the pattern of fics that popped up here first.

January 17, 2005
Yes, yes, it's another MASSIVE overhaul. Truly massive. The site has again been redone, now with no real theme aside from pink, flowers, and the occasional picture of Irvine lying around. I like it better, so much better, than the initial layout change. It should also be easier to navigate; there is both a frames version - the more attractive version, alas - and a no frames version so that those with older browsers can actually see the site if they want to.

Anyway. Any problems need to be fixed on the spot. I've checked multiple times, but sometimes, another set of eyes sees what mine does not. Please report errors to me via email and I'll get right on them. Every last page - from fanfiction to the splash to the contact page - has been redone for further convenience. Some stayed and some (the ones that weren't going anywhere) had to go. I hope I can keep it this way for a long time, as I really do like it best of all my layouts.

January 15, 2005
This update comes to you admittedly a little late. Anybody who is perturbed by that, I apologize. But what is the update? It's a feature story that I wrote for my journalism course last semester, all focused on the subculture-cum-culture of fanfiction. The users who contributed from the deleterius and marysues communities have so far enjoyed it. It's meant to be educational, or at least entertaining. I'm not sure what purpose it achieved aside from an A.

December 21, 2004
MASSIVE overhaul work on the site over the last (less than) twenty-four hours has thrown everything into a new era. Everything from the splash page to every last one of the fanfics has been redesigned to fit into the new layout, which is, obviously, Kenshin-centric.

However, there could still be problems, and with a change as hugely extensive as this one, I'm sure that a bug will crop up. Broken links - or links that lead back to old pages - need to be fished out. If anyone notices one, I would be grateful to know about it. Otherwise, I think that the new layout is much more interesting and more functional. That, and it allowed me to play with HTML that I haven't used in a while. Cleaning the rust off old skills is always a lucky thing.

December 19, 2004
A nonfiction work, so to speak, has been added to the fanfiction page. It is a list of things that I've learned about life - most of them not exactly true or serious - from reading fanfiction. It's by no means comprehensive, so if I think of anything more to add to it, or if I get good suggestions, I'll add to it and let it grow to even greater, more insane proportions than it is now.

December 9, 2004
Just a quick note, more for my benefit than for yours, unless you really care about my perfectionist little tweaks to the main index and even further banner alterations. For clarity, the "Links" title has been changed to "Links/Cliques," and I took down the previous two (bleh) banners and put up a new, even smaller one - 2K is all, dears! That's it for this selfish little update.

November 21, 2004
My Fushigi Yuugi fanfiction debut brings another new fic, at long last! "Satiate the Need" has its own, brand new section on the fanfiction page, as a brand new absolute favorite fandom of mine. Like most of my fics, it took a spot in my journal before arriving here, but it was well-liked there, so I'm hoping that it does my new fandom baby some justice.

November 5, 2004
I finished testing for compatibility with the Mozilla Firefox browser, so that has been added to the list on the splash page. If there are any problems for users who have this browser, notify me. Likewise, if I notice problems, I will search for a solution!

October 31, 2004
This is not, unhappily, a fanfiction update. It's just a mention of the update to my biography, which needed changing to reflect, well, the changes in my life and my perspective! I like this one better - it's a little more readable, too.

September 27, 2004
I've done it! I added another first to the site: the first ever yuri fic! I wrote it just yesterday in a fit of complete (and very welcome) inspiration. It's called "Give," and it's rated NC-17 for a reason. I should technically call it the first ever yuri smut fic on the site.

This is possibly also the first time that a fic has debuted here instead of my journal! I'm proud, and hope you like the story!

September 26, 2004
One of my older pieces - along with its companion - has been added to the fanfiction page as "Death of a Loved One." It was on my Livejournal back in May and June, but after encouragement, I decided that I might as well post the first ever het fic here!

September 14, 2004
The only pages left for editing are the lemon writing assistance page and the three existing Mary Sue litmus tests. I will get to these on my own time, as it was most important to get other parts of the site converted (and as you may have noticed, this page has also been revamped).

I am very, very close to the end of the WYSIWYG era!

September 8, 2004
Downtime continues as I work on edits slowly but surely. But the real point of this update is the addition of a second banner, a smaller, simpler one that may be more to your tastes. See the links page for more on that.

September 3, 2004
Yes, site edits are still underway. If you visit the personal menu, you will find that I have removed the links to the rants page. I have decided, at least for the time being, that I don't need the page, and that if I am to reinstate it later, the rants will have to actually be relevant. So, in short, the page is down and won't be up again in the forseeable future. I am still working on redoing the site, so any downtime or sudden changes are meant to be that way.

If you do spot any errors, it would be wonderful of you to tell me.

August 29, 2004
The site edits are continuing; currently, the Mary Sue tests are unavailable as I work on that page. Others may follow as I finish off the edits. I apologize for all this rampant inconvenience!

Actually, the main update this time is the addition of a banner to the links page. You can now link to me with a semi-lovely graphic, so I hope it's acceptable. If you are still using any of the old banners, change them accordingly, lest I have to hunt you down to make you switch over. Please, also follow the linking rules (they're very basic, and stated on that page).

August 21, 2004
As you might notice, page edits are going on frequently; if you experience downtime, please bear with me. The site is becoming fully converted from the stupid WYSIWYG PageBuilder tool - provided by Geocities - to plain text HTML. In the following days, even weeks, things will change either drastically (like the main page) or slightly.

August 19, 2004
A while ago, an original story called "Crescent Moon Eyes" debuted in my journal in two parts, where it was positively recieved. I decided to add it to the site, since I'm quite proud of it for all that it's an alternate universe in the truest sense (and a rather bizarre concept), and gave it its own place on the fanfiction page.

August 11, 2004
I have a new original piece, called "The Criminal's Wife," on the fanfiction page. It got positive attention in my Livejournal, and I like it well enough, so here it is.

August 2, 2004
Two new fics - "Out with the Water" and its companion piece, "Mud in a Bottle" - are up on the fanfiction page, in the Rurouni Kenshin section. The former has made a debut in my Livejournal and has been added to MediaMiner and FanFiction.Net, so look for it there.

July 29, 2004
The fanfiction page got its makeover, and several fics - notably, those that were not going anywhere - have been taken off in the process. If there are broken links, or links to the old fanfiction page that are still active, please tell me. I need to fix all errors right away.

July 26, 2004
The first two chapters of "The Anime Boys do Sailor Moon" have been edited, and are up on the fanfiction page at last! They are a completely new version; certain passages may be the same, but the cast itself is vastly different. Just remember to scroll down to the "crossover" category to find it! (That system really needs to be changed. I'll get on it soon...)

July 12, 2004
The links page is undergoing editing as I upload images to my image host. This may take a night, or a few days, but rest assured that it's going to be better when it's finished.

July 9, 2004
"Christmas Dinner, Gourmet Style," a 20 Menso ni Onegai! fic, has been added.

Thanks to the different series represented on the fanfiction page, it is undergoing serious edits, the most rudimentary of which have already happened. Expect some downtime and more updates to the page as I get more time to improve upon the categorizing system.

July 1, 2004
Here we go, another original story: "These Hypocritical Affairs." It's one of the few stories that isn't NC-17 - it's PG-13 - and it is, yes, a coming out story. It premiered in my Livejournal, and it has its place here now that it went through some revision. It's on the fanfiction page with the others.

June 30, 2004
Both banners have been removed from the site, as I refuse to have substandard banners that invite criticism. There will likely be new banners at some unforseeable point in the future. Till then, change your method of linkage. Thanks.

June 27, 2004
Trundling steadily along, with updates almost on a regular basis. This time, it's not just an appearance change to the site, though; I've actually added a second original story, which completed its run in my Livejournal just today! This one has more plot than " '39," I must admit. You'll find it on the fanfiction page, under its appropriate section. Its title is "Femme Dom." I'm not sure yet, but it may also have a run on AdultFanFiction.Net. This is, of course, to be announced. Notify me if there are any links broken or if the formatting is wrong. I will fix such issues immediately.

In a smaller addition, there is a new rant, titled, "In Defense of Canon Females," which discusses bastardization of girls and women to justify yaoi. If you're into the opinion column sort of thing, it should be your cup of tea. It featured on my journal a few weeks back, so if it looks familiar, that's likely why. Again, any inconsistencies or troubles with code and formatting must be pointed out so I can repair them!

June 16, 2004
The entire site has had a makeover. You will notice that it is more professional and more viewer-friendly now. This is thanks to me actually getting off my ass and using HTML. Yes, I know. Utterly shocking! But it's true. If there is anything wrong - broken links, problems reading/seeing certain parts of the site, etcetera - tell me right away. I need to fix these things! Suggestions are also welcome (regarding appearance - not regarding fanfiction or other page ideas).

June 8, 2004
I decided that I wanted to edit "The Anime Boys do Sailor Moon." All links to the pages have been removed temporarily while I attempt to do this. I hope I can make the story much, much better, and funnier, than it previously was.

I submitted " '39" to AdultFanFiction.Net, where (as I hope you can figure out) my penname is Silent Bystander. It is in the "Original > Slash" section. Please look into it there if you haven't here, or leave a review for me. I would really like feedback on it, almost even more than on my fanfiction, since it's completely from my own crazy mind. Other than that, there has been no real addition to the site; technically, this wasn't even an update, but I felt like adding it anyway.

June 2, 2004
As was previously stated on the front page, there are updates and additions to the site, both in fanfiction and otherwise. Obviously, this page is up, but so is a page - under the resource section - detailing fanfiction that I find admirable and worthy of suggestion. It's a work in progress, as I will add more when I get time and read new stories. On that note, I added " '39" yesterday, an original work. I originally posted it on my LJ, but decided to go on and add it here anyway.

The Mary Sue page has two new links to pictures I drew detailing the anatomies of these sickening creatures. Check them out for a laugh, but be forewarned: they can be very frightening. Do not drink or eat at the computer while looking at them. I've also added a link for you to send me your own MS tests if you want.
