Author's notes for Part Eight of the AN chapter of Rebuilding
aka A Ramble
I'm not really too fond of fighting scenes which is probably why it took me so long to work on this part. Bit of sap in here too. That's why I titled this part War and Love.
^^ I'm not really sure why, but I like to involve the youngsters. It happens naturally like Dan's part in Rebuilding. Primera's case though came a bit suddenly, even to me. Don't confuse her talent with Midori's though. Her telepathy is defensive, which means she can close herself off. The idea came from the way she withdrew into herself in the game. It's a protective measure, a way to keep herself sane during her growing years. It's opposite to Midori's case. At a very young age, Primera saw her mother killed. Later on, her brother came to respect and to admire their mother's murderer. That is extremely difficult to understand and to live with, especially since Billy made it clear that he despised Jessiah whom Primera adored.
Midori, on the other hand, had the protection of both her parents, especially Yui, who I portray as also telepathic. Well, to me it makes a lot of sense that Yui is telepathic. Also, Citan has that mental connection with Emperor Cain. Plus, I can easily imagine Emperor Cain running around in Midori's mind just as easily as he does in her father's head. =) T. Avery's fic The Silent Observer also has the same or a similar concept, only it's not Cain running around in her mind. Hehe. Midori may be silent and appear creepy during the game, but I immediately saw that she's just like her father. She knows all, sees all, just not talkative. I find myself liking her very much.
Dan. Ah Dan. Truthfully, I didn't think much of Dan while playing the game and when I write Xeno fics. His case is so cliche. Likes the hero very much at the start of the game, then something happens which destroys that friendship, and much later, forgives the hero. I found Midori's or Primera's situation much more interesting than his. So I still wonder how and why I wrote Dan's fight scene with that vampire mutant.
Oh yeah... I really enjoyed beating up Nathan, no kidding. He was bugging me! I like Seth though... eventhough he's a trifle bit on the insane side.
*looks at the messy scrawl of a handwriting* ... gleeps... I must have been so bored in class to write that much *sweatdrop* I really wish I have one of those electronic writing pad gizmos. I don't relish having to type up what I write. Problem is that I seem to be most inspired when teachers speak. How ironic... I'm inspired when I am bored.
