Friendship is such a special thing,
Oh, what happiness it can bring!
It gives meaning to life if you care,
It is such a special gift to share.
The mark of friendship is a kindly view,
Towards someone who feels for you.
Their influence is like a sunny ray,
Shining on you to brighten your day.
If meeting them is a great pleasure-
Each occasion is a moment to treasure.
Then be sure you do not lose touch,
Or you may regret it ever so much.

What greater honour can be bestowed upon you,
Than a friend who is good and true?
A true friendship can last forever,
Strengthening you in each endeavour.
It can reach over thousands of miles,
Bringing with it so many smiles.
Sometimes being a good friend,
May mean helping wounds to mend.
When things are not well and life is hard,
A friend should protect you - become your guard.
True friends share in life's wonders and woes-
Both the rain and the rainbows.
If someone, whether near or far,
Is, for you, a guiding star.
Then they mush be a special friend-
Truly the stuff of great legend.

DO NOT LOSE A FRIEND by Martin E. Cairns

A misunderstanding can lead to great stress,
It can leave friendships in quite a mess.
Do not lose a friend through misinterpretation,
Always listen to an explanation.
Breaking up two friends can make them so sad,
And when hurt is without intention, this is just mad.
Do not be too quick to judge people you know,
This causes undue worry and woe.
If, in the past, they deserved your trust,
Not being too hasty is a must.
A true friendship is precious beyond measure,
So guard it like a special treasure.
