NIKON FM2 from PMA '82 New Product News
New Nikon FM2 35mm single-lens-reflex camera is designed around a revolutionary new shutter with a top speed of 1/4000 second plus a maximum flash synch speed of 1/200 second allowing "ghost" free flash in ambient light with a 35mm slr.
Nikon FM2 shutter dial indicates speeds from 1 to 1/4000 second plus B (Bulb) and X200 flash synch speed.
The 1/125 and X200 are both in red.
ASA/OSO speeds of 100 and 400 are also marked in red.
Nikon FM2 shutter assembly shows revolutionary new Titanium "honeycomb" pattern.
The new computer designed surface results in a shutter with lower mass and greater strength making the 1/4000 shutter speed and 1/200 synch speed possible.
New revolutionary shutter in Nikon FM2 has exclusive Titanium surface with new "honeycomb" pattern.
