St Catherine's Monastry lies at the foot of Jabal Musa (also known as Mt Sinai)


This 17th century picture shows Jabal Musa on the left with St Catherine's Monastery at its foot and Moses on the summit receiving the ten commandments. On the right is Jabal Katrina with the angels bringing the saint's body to the summit.
