Description of the Bishop Auckland Area

Bishop Auckland lies in the South West of County Durham, which is in the North East of England. It is an area which grew prosperous during the industrial revolution because of its coal. You can start at either car park and walk any direction that you choose, but plan it if you want to pass a pub at an appropriate time.The GALLERY shots were taken on the red walk starting at the southernmost carpark and walking eastward
