16-year-old author who tackles mature issues!
Aimée had started writing the novel because her father- after finding out she wrote Harry Potter fanfics- wanted to see her write original work. The novel, Phoenix Ashes, was a present to her dad. The novel was sold to Word Association Press in only a few weeks. Later, Aimée would rewrite the novel, change the title to Blue Car Nights (a reference to the Dishwalla song "Counting Blue Cars" which inspired the main character's dream friend), and expand it into the Zac Trilogy.
Born several months premature in Detroit, Michigan, on January 24, 1986, Aimée still lives with her father, Richard, and adopted twin brothers, Adam and Aaron, in Canton, Michigan. Aimée is currently attending the University of Michigan. In between classes and reading assignments, she plans on finishing even more manuscripts for eventual publication.
Aimée's name is pronounced "AH-may" not "AY-mee".
