DANIELLE DENEAULT 15-year-old's gamble on fiction pays off!

Charter High School student Danielle Deneault, born March 22nd, 1991, grew up in Providence, Rhode Island. When she was four, her family moved to where she now calls home, Las Vegas, Nevada! At the end of sixth grade and into the summer, when Danielle was 11, she started writing Decision of A Heartbeat, a novel about a quiet boy named James Martin, who falls in love with the girl next door, loses her when her family moves away, and meets her again years later- when James is engaged! The inspiration for the novel struck when Danielle was visiting Rhode Island.

It took three years of writing, rewriting, and editing, but Decision of A Heartbeat found its home with the self-publishers at Authorhouse; it was published in February 2006, when Daniell was still only 15! Danielle has been working over the 2006 summer on her next novel, but hopes to some day move to L.A. and make it big as a guitar player and singer since music is her first passion.

Danielle has an older brother, Raymond, who is 20 years older than her! She also has two nephews, Raymond and Nicky. In addition to music, Danielle also enjoys theater. Once, Danielle ran away to a bookstore while her mom was shopping for shoes; her mom found her reading a Bernstien Bears book. Did you know?: Danielle is addicted to the Food Network, especially Rachel Ray!
