Our programme was subject to some last minute changes and Angharad abandoned her usual style of asking 'are you ready' a dozen times before starting to conduct.  Here's what happened on stage...

4th Section:
We were drawn to play second and started our programme at 10:25am.  We wasted no time in getting started with the first piece - taking S4C by surprise as they missed the opening beats of the music.  We ploughed through an ambitious selection of music - there was the odd slip but overall there was some excellent technical playing and really nice band sounds coming through.  Definitely a performance to be proud of and one that was on a par with our winning performance at last year's Eisteddfod.
3rd Section:
We played first - this helped Jeff to get back to Portsmouth for an evening gig! It made sense to play in both sections given the effort that we had made to get to the Eisteddfod.  This performance was more of a concert than a competition for us as we expected the standard of the other bands to be very high.  Ironically, the piece that Angharad gave the Band the most time to get ready for ended up having the fewest people playing at the start...
