Yes, if you are still not aware, Channel U's Project Superstar female champion - Kelly Poon, 22, was from Yishun Town Secondary School.

A hot favourite since the beginning of the competition, Kelly has topped the score chart in practically every round and was the first contestant to ever cross the 40 mark (out of a maximum of 50) in the judges' scores, which made up of 30% of the total score. The remaining 70% is based on viewers' votes via phone calls or SMS. 

With tremendous support and expectations from her fans, Kelly has successfully emerged as the female champion and advanced into the final round of competition. 

The talented lass will compete against the male champion - Kelvin Tan on 1st September 2005 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium for the overall champion title. But regardless of how the battle of the gender ends, both will be getting a recording contract with either Play Music or Universal Music.
