| My mom and dad are, to me, the greatest people in the world. In addition to being my parents, they are also my friends and role models. My dad, Chuanguo, came to America with minimal English and virtually no money. He worked hard to earn his Ph.D. in agriculture from Michigan State University. Now my dad, rather Dr. Xu, is successfully working for the John Deere company. My mom, Yun, has worked every job in the world to be where she is now. When we first came to America, she was a housekeeper, babysitter, and a waitress. She later earned degrees in Computer Information Systems and Computer Science. Now she has moved her way up as an Software Engineer for Hewlett-Packard. |
