Sadly most of my best and most outrageous photos were burned up in a fire along with alot of my clothes, if only we could find gothis Karen from Leeds or my friend Nikki they had some lovely pictures of me in various wigs,
costumes and hairstyles.
Our favourite clubs were The Hippodrome on a thursday night, it was free for freaks they even issued us with special FF list I-D cards. FF stood for frizzby fox, then girlfriend of the club owner who was into outrageous fashion. They alway had a live act on we saw Divine there twice "sigh", Jayne County and various other colourful and amusing acts.
On a Friday I used to work on the cloakroom at the Pleasure Dive, it had a tranny, goth, hi-NRG, electro type crowd.
Wednesday night we'd usually go the the Embassy club in Mayfair. it was quite a frustrating time for us though most of the "trendy" clubs were engaging in a 1960's revival so there was a lot of recycled hippy fashion around while we we impatiently waiting for the 21st century and trying to dress appropriatly in punkish futurist fashion.
