Wiggie has currently stepped out of the Ranks of T.I.P. to begin his life in the world. | |||||||||||||||
Name: Adam A Wiggin (you can call me Wiggie) Birthplace: Exeter, NH on June 16, 1978 T.I.P. Role: Guitar, Vocals, Scapegoat Favorite Diva: Cher Before I continue with the run-of-the-mill "fav questions", I will take some time to say that Cher is the coolest. Cher is the coolest. Sonny was holding her back. Cher could kick Barbara Streisand's ass in a fight. She is not worth my time to find out how to spell her last name. Now, without further ado, I will commense with the "Seventeen Magazine questions" that are so completely intriging... Favorite Food: Large Favorite Drink: The milk at the bottom of the cereal bowl. Favorite Movie: Stigmata Favorite Bands: Mr. Bungle, Strung Out, Cher Favorite Song: Retrovertigo by Mr. Bungle And here is the rest of my interview from Seventeen Magazine which can be found in a recent issue... SM: So many don't know that you are actually a member of T.I.P. How does this make you feel? Wiggie: "It's cool, I mean, I'm having fun and I get to see the reaction of the crowd when I'm up on stage. Just because people might not remember my name after a show does not necessarily mean that I don't feel their energy and devotion." SM: That's cool. How did you meet the guys in T.I.P.? Wiggie: "Going retro on me huh? That's cool. I was an RA with Davie back in '97 or '98 and he already knew the guys. I used to play [acoustical] music that make me look like a [wimp]. I walked over to the band house one day carrying a keyboard, actually... I soon moved on to acoustic guitar in the band, and finally my position as second guitar." SM: That brings up another interesting question. I thought you play the solos, why are you the second guitar? Wiggie: "Actually, there isn't a first and second guitar. Pat and I have very similar roles in the band. We both sing, play rhythm guitar and play some solos. Just because I play a couple more solos than him doesn't make me the lead guitarist and him the rhythm guitarist. We try to break away from the stereotypical labeling of roles. There really isn't anything conventional about this band." SM: So, the big question... Are you seeing anybody? Wiggie: "Yes. I'm seeing an Irish girl who goes to Boston University. She's a lot smarter than me. Coincedentally, she's best friends with Pat's girlfriend. SM: So do you have anything else to say about the band or whatever is going on in your life? Wiggie: "Yeah, don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't be something that you want to. I'm a teacher and a musician and it pisses my father off. But I make it work and I'm having fun. And having fun is what it's all about. Let this be a lesson to you all- if you're young, fuck around and have fun. If you're older, have fun and set goals. If you're old, have fun reaching those goals and setting new ones." |
