Zion Taxi is an inspirational rock band based in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Our songwriting and performance is influenced by a wide variety of artists ranging from classic artists like Jimi Hendrix, Deep Purple, Heart, and Jefferson Airplane, to more modern artists such as Dave Matthews Band, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Alanis Morrisette, and Sting. We combine these influences to create an earthy, raw style of rock music that is at once fresh, while retaining its classic roots.
Our goal is to challenge the often shallow and derivative nature of Christian music by presenting the spiritual journey through life with all its trials and great triumphs; warts and all. The real story…the whole story…past the hype, the fluff, the travel brochures…that’s where the truth is, and it is the truth that will set you free.
