Newspaper Article: An End to Hate: "International Conference to Discuss Zoanthrope Issue" (European Millenium Press, Sept. 19)  "The abrupt halt of terrorist activity by the Zoanthrope Liberation Front has spurred a global movement to reexamine the status of zoanthropes in our society.  The just-announced conference on human rights will be the first-ever international assembly convened to discuss the issue of zoanthropes.  With many peaceful zoanthrope groups slated to participate, the conference will no doubt see intense debate on the issue.  Alan Gado, a known key player in the notorious Tylon incident, will testify as a special witness.  His testimony will shed new light on events, till now, shrouded in mystery.

Alan: I want to make sure that I did not err in choosing them.
Jenny: So you still want to fight?  You're incorrigible.  And… your wounds aren't even healed yet.
Alan: Well, let's see if I'm back in top form yet…  You gonna help me?
Jenny: Yes, yes.  Boy, you sure are a handful.
Alan: Alright, we're all set.  Let's go!
Jenny: A person needs the patience of a saint to put up with you.

Jane: You came to see me?  How unusual.  So, what happened?
Alan: If I tell you, you might try something hasty and dangerous.
Jane: Oh, that again…  How many times have we had this discussion since I first became a mercenary?
Alan: Besides, you're going to say the same thing you always say.
Jane: If you want to stop me, then try stopping me by force!
(Fight) After battle…
Jane: Just how strong does this guy think he has to be?
Alan: Don't interrupt the training.
Jane: Huh?  I thought you wanted me to give up being a mercenary?
Alan: A soldier has to decide for himself when to retreat.  I can only wish you luck in battle.

Alan: Compatriots!  You are all my compatriots-zoanthropes and non-zoanthropes alike.  Today let us reject hatred and abandon our foolish conflict.  A zoanthrope is merely one who has discovered new abilities in his genes.  We look different but are still human.  Why such abilities were given us, God Himself only knows.  To see danger in the unknown may be a normal human defense mechanism.  But remember, too, that the courage to overcome fear and conquer the unknown has been the driving force behind all human progress.  Remember that prejudiced societies which exclude those who are different have produced only pain and sorrow…  Let this conference unite all of humanity in creating a new era.  And let this new era not follow bloodshed, but instead be built on the bedrock of understanding and brotherly love.
