Name: Jenny Burtory
Beast Form: Bat Age: Unknown Fighting Style: Jenny likes to use her long legs to kick the shit out of you. She's very quick and agile...one of my favorites actually. |
(Screenshot of Jenny and Gado/Alan in a dim-lighted room; Jenny is leaning casually against a wall and Alan is sitting down in a shadowy corner opposite her)
Jenny: I heard the rumors. So you resigned as commander of the Security Corps? Alan: I tried to make them stop the zoanthrope hunting and instead protect the peace like they're suppose to, but I couldn't… Jenny: Something terrible must have happened to make you quit. Alan: My troops slaughtered an innocent family. They were part zoanthrope, but they were just an ordinary family, with no ties at all with the ZLF. The grunts would openly say things like, "Zoanthropes aren't human," or "They deserve what they get." Jenny: Captain Gado complaining to me. Who would have thought? So what do you want me to do? Execute those troops for you? Or smash the ZLF for making it worse for all zoanthropes? Alan: I would never ask a refined person such as you to take on such a dangerous mission. I need you to get close to someone, and to provide backup. Jenny: How unexpectantly simple. Tell me more. Alan: They're honest zoanthropes not connected to the ZLF at all. They're fully qualified to bridge the gap between zoanthrope and human, and to lead the zoanthropes through the chaos and confusion that we all know is coming… But right now they have their own problems to solve first. I'm not asking you to get rid of the problems for them. I want you to help them solve the problem themselves. Jenny: Now that you're unemployed, you could do this yourself. Why ask me? Alan: Some of them have met me before… Besides being unemployed, I'm suspected of involvement with the ZLF. By helping them, I could entangle them in unnecessary trouble. Jenny: In short, I suit your needs as a free agent who will work for anyone for the right price. Sounds good. I think I'll get to work right away. (Screen fades black) (Shot of Jenny walking on a city sidewalk, a black coat tucked under one arm, her back turned away from the viewer) In the covert war of military and industrial espionage, there is a woman agent of almost mythical status among other spies, agents and double-agents. A cunning agent of legendary ability, her name and background are a mystery. She accepts a new assignment and disappears into the night. Jenny: So, it's into the shadows as usual. But that's OK. The soft caress of the darkness suits me better than the harsh sunlight of day. (Screen fades black) Jenny: I hope you've improved since last time. (Uriko appears) Uriko: Y-You… You're the one I saw… Jenny: I teamed you with Long so you can get the skills you need to rescue your mother from the ZLF. I expect you to make at least some progress. Now let's see just what you've learned. Uriko: But the Master forbids fights with disciples of other schools. Jenny: Don't sweat the details, child. Now, begin! (Fight) After battle… Jenny: Pretty good moves. I actually got excited. You'll be alright now. (Yugo appears) Yugo: Quit your complaining and just get out of my way! Jenny: No one likes violent people. I'm just trying to teach you things for your own good. Yugo: I'm in a hurry! Now leave me alone or I'll knock you out! (Fight) After battle… Jenny: Calm down, little boy… If you behave, I'll tell you where Kenji is. (Alice appears) Alice: Why do you know about Yugo and about me? Just who are you anyway? Jenny: I'd say that some kind of benefactor sent me, but you wouldn't believe me anyway. Alice: Lady, are you crazy? Jenny: How rude! Alright, enough talk. You win, I tell you about Kenji. Are we agreed? Alice: Whatever this is all about, it doesn't seem like I can say "No," does it? (Fight) After battle… Jenny: You need to work on your fighting skills and your female charm. Alice: W-What? How dare you! Jenny: Go run to Yugo's side. I'll give you the information. Remember, it is love that makes a woman truly beautiful. Alice: What are you talking about?! I don't even… Him? I don't… He's not… Jenny: Hee hee hee! (Shina/Jane appears) Jane: Hey, you. You're a zoanthrope, right? Well I'm looking for a lion zoanthrope named Gado. Have you seen him? Jenny: ...... Jane: Well, speak up! Do you know anything? Jenny: Don't ask me. Besides, why do you want to know, lady? Jane: That's none of your business. Do you know or don't you? Jenny: If I tell you, what do I get in return? (Brief pause) Jane: So you want money, is that it? Jenny: No, I have plenty of money. But how about a contest? Jane: Sounds interesting. In other words, you want me to beat it out of you, huh? (Fight) After battle… Jane: A worthy opponent. I accept defeat. I will look elsewhere. Jenny: Wait! Don't you want to know where Gado is? Jane: We made a deal and I lost. I intend to abide by that deal. Jenny: You're far too scrupulous. How have you managed to survive so long as a soldier? (Picture of Jenny in a room comes up; she is picking up a white piece of paper) Jenny: He's not here… but he left a letter. How old fashioned! Letter: "I must do something myself about the Liberation Front. I located their stronghold and went out on my own mission. If I can kill their leader and whoever is backing him up, that should be enough to bring down the entire organization." Jenny: A client who heads out on his own secret missions? Now I have seen everything. I wonder if it's because Shina is getting closer. I don't blame him. Still… … Well, you, there. Excuse me, but I don't think I heard you knock. (Bakuryu/Kenji appears; his body is half-in the room as he hangs upside down from a window) Kenji: So you noticed? Time for you to die. Jenny: You must be a ZLF agent. Sorry, but I've been in this business a lot longer. Are you ready to die? Kenji: Ridiculous. Older doesn't mean better. (Fight) After battle… Jenny: He sure runs away fast. He must be that boy… (Screen fades black) Jenny: From what Gado's letter said, the stronghold must be here… (Busuzima appears) Busuzima: Welcome, so many visitors! Now here's another? Oh, what am I to do?! Jenny: You are Doctor Busuzima, I believe. Busuzima: My, my! We know each other? Hey, I don't remember any lovely lady like you… How 'bout you? Jenny: I'm in a hurry. Some other time. Busuzima: Alright, bye now… …Hey, come on, wait! Stop in a while. Good prices on bloodletting! And free experiments with live subjects! Come on! (Fight) After battle… Busuzima: Do you really know me? At least give me your phone number! Jenny: I just hacked Tylon's computer system, that's all. I've never really met you. Oh, if there's anything I hate, it's a scientist without scruples. (Screen fades black) Jenny: I have to find Gado quickly. (Shenlong appears) Shenlong: What's this? An insect? Jenny: Well, you must be the leader, Mr. Shenlong. It's an honor to meet you. (Cripes! Gado, where are you?) Shenlong: Looking for your friend? You can see him right now… In the dungeon, that is. Jenny: (It can't be! They got Gado?) Shenlong: The last guy was quite an interesting opponent… But you don't seem like one. Jenny: (I'll have to charge in by myself. Ha…, I'm as crazy as Gado!) (Fight) After battle… Shenlong: Im-Impossible. I… can't lose. Ugh! Jenny: I've been surviving in the shadows for a lot longer than you have. Well, I think I'll get Gado and then be on my way. (Jenny and Alan appear; Alan is sitting in a red armchair with a glass of wine in one hand and a bandage across his partially bared chest. Jenny is sitting barefoot on the windowsill next to him.) Alan: Then the initially agreed-upon amount is acceptable? Jenny: Yes. Alan: I feel bad for involving you in things outside our agreement. I'd like to pay you a bonus, if it's alright with you. Jenny: The run-in with the Liberation Front and rescuing you were unexpected, but a contract is still a contract. Don't worry about it. Alan: How discomforting. I always thought that professionals in our line of work were more serious when it came to compensation. Jenny: I'm making an exception. After all, I did owe you a favor. Well, now that the mission is accomplished, I wonder what I should do next… Alan: To start with, how about being a nurse for the injured person in front of you? Jenny: For a contract like that, I'd have to charge a special fee. (Screen fades black) Officially, there is no proof whatsoever directly linking their actions to the destruction of the Zoanthrope Liberation Front. |
