Zolar X's Timeless LP (1982) |
Presented here for your viewing pleasure is
Zolar X's impossible to find 1982 LP, "Timeless." The LP was on clear
vinyl, and in a clear slipcase. It included a zeroxed insert, which
is also pictured - created by Ygarr Ygarrist - Lazor Lead Guitarist.
After Zolar X broke up in early '81, Ygarr created this posthumous compilation, which included material recorded in '76, '79, and '80. Zolar X sadly held on to their recordings throughout
their career, waiting to get signed. Zory Zenith was not happy with
'82's Timeless, going as far as to call it a "bootleg" since none of the
other band members had any say in it.

However, 1982's Timeless succeeded in presenting
Zolar X's great material to the public for the first time, outside of a
live venue. It won over Jello Biafra of the Dead Kennedys.
Biafra's friend Christian Lunch was also a fan, and had done artwork for
a punk band Ygarr moonlighted in, during the late 70's punk boom, Rock
Bottom and The Spys. Biafra ended up releasing a deluxe version
of Timeless in 2004.
