On March 1, 1973, in Youngstown, OH, a baby boy was born to Lennel Vincent Anderson, II and Deborah Lynn Anderson...me. They named me Lennel Vincent Anderson, III.
On Good Friday 1986, I gave my life to Lord in response to a tug in my heart to go forward to the altar after a Passion play. It was at that same church where I was first taken hold of by God's grace--Christian Fellowship Tabernacle--that I remained during my formative Christian walk and still consider my spiritual home church.
I grew up in the Youngstown, Ohio area and graduated from high school in 1991, and attended Westminster College until I graduated in 1995. (ctd.)---> |

Having more firmly established in my heart that the Lord was calling me to ministry during college, I went directly to Gordon-Conwell after graduation and spent five years of intense academic and spiritual pruning. The greatest gift next to salvation was given to me on March 28, 2000--my wonderful wife Kelly. I am truly thankful for the great blessing and support she has been to me in my ministry endeavors.

Ministry Vision & Call |

I strongly believe in building up the health of church members to produce healthy churches that can bring the healing presence of Jesus to a hurting world. I believe healthy churches naturally draw people to Jesus and do not have to rely upon gimmicks, the tyranny of being relevant to the culture to a fault, and mass-producing overextended ministries to accomplish this.
The first inklings that I might be called to full time Christian ministry was when I was in high school. That personal sense of call was solidified by the end of my Freshman year at college. I have had various people, family, church members and leaders, even unchurched people, affirm the gifts and call God has placed on my life. I would eventually like to get a PhD, and when I am more seasoned in or retired from ministry teach where I can help bring up the next generation of church leaders. |
