Some reasons I think this is:
• Without Nirvana the music industry would not be the same as it is today, ask any one that knows about Nirvana and the music industry
• They basically started the whole "grunge" age

I know some people do not like this kind of music but for those people who do like this music they would most likely know who Nirvana is and may very well even like them! If you've never listened to them before i suggest you try Heart Shaped Box because it's a good song, or try All Apologies. All Apologies is more of a mellow song and Heart Shaped Box is sort of a mellow song with some upbeat parts in it.
