Photos of the World Trade Center Incident, September 11, 2001
I had decided to take the day off work to take care of some personal business, so on the morning of 9/11, I was in my chair, reading a book on the Civil War. At around 8:49 there was a "boom" oustide. I figured it could be anything and it sounded far enough away that it probably didn't concern me, so I just continued reading. Then I took a shower and afterwards sat down to plan my day. I had accidentally not set my alarm clock radio the previous night and I just didn't feel like having it on that morning so I had no idea what had happenned when my girlfriend from Pennsylvania called to see if I was all right. I didn't know what she was talking about when she said a plane had hit the World Trade Center. She said there may be something about it on TV. When I turned the TV on, there was no reception except on CBS 2 and the Korean channel 17. That made sense, I thought, since all the other channels broadcast out of the World Trade Center. Then she asked me if I could see it out my window, and yes, I could...
