Perhaps she doesn't have something she has to have:  A pacifier, a pair of socks, a blanket, a stuffed animal, being awakened in a particular manner by you that makes her smile, and eases into your care of her.

With you, she can finally let down her guard of having to impress people.  She doesn't have to walk a certain way or create an "appearance" that is expected of her, or behave in a particular manner.  She has no fear of being hurt by you.  You are her Daddy, the guy who knows her like no other.  And that means something that's very personally important to her.  It should be just as important to you......
