Zorknot's Webpage |
Several people have asked me "Why do you call yourself Zorknot?" and my response is usually different every time. Recently I've been saying it has to do with the Zork computer games. In the respect that it has nothing to do with them, that's true. Call me the Grand Uninquister. However, originally I just made it up one night after a fevered bout of insanity wherein I and a friend of mine, (whom I labeled the Great Efengi), antagonized small children and pretended to be aliens bent on introducing a rare strand of fungi into the atmosphere of the planet. We were doing this for our Astronomy merit badge. At any rate I liked the name and started using it online. I found it somewhat surprising that you don't see more Zorknots around. It's fairly basic as collections of syllables go. So far I've only seen one other instance of the name: a online artificial creature created by some guy named Adam. I've since created my own creature and named IT Adam, just to be even. <-This is Zorknot, the digicreature Now in reality, my name is W. Brad Robinson. I have a Bachelor's in Physics and Math and I'm working on my Master's degree in Physics. This just means I'm more apt to get into quasi-scientific discussions such as determining what would happen if you attached pieces of toast, butter side up, to the feet of a cat. Toast always lands butter side down, and cats always land on their feet... Right now there's a non-existant cat floating around my dorm room. I call him Shrodinger. It's not really all that surprising then that I enjoy anime so much. Anime is filled to the brim with quasi-science. Things that almost make sense and follow logic, but that aren't based in any sort of reality. Weird anime like Lain, FLCL and Evangelion are right up my alley. Ranma1/2 is also a favorite of mine. I've written several fanfics, a few of which are pretty good. I write, read, and critique fanfics not only to satisfy my need for interesting stories, but also to improve my writings skills. As I'm often fond of telling people, I'm only studying Physics so I'll have something to fall back on if my writing career doesn't pan out:-) On this website, which I'll probably be working on continuously you'll find my fanfics, and not much else. Have a glorious day, and may your socks never get those anoying burs in them. |
2/2/07 - Added a chapter to Thyself Known TK is up to ten chapters now. Yay. At some point it would be nice if I could make this site less sucky. I'll get back to you on that. Maybe. |
