THE PHARAONIC VILLAGE
IN CAIRO, EGYPT
An original idea of an Egyptian, Dr. Ragab, who also developed the Papyrus Museum that manufactures papyrus imitating ancient procedures, the Pharaonic Village tries to portray different everyday activities in ancient Egypt. It is very popular with tourists but modern Egyptians visit it as well with their families.
At the request of some people who have expressed an interest to see pictures of this village, we are giving below some in the hope that they may stimulate them to visit Egypt and see it for themselves, as well as the more accurate representations of such activities on the walls of ancient tombs and temples.
You can click on any of the pictures to see a larger image, some are a bit dark since in those cases it was unavoidable to have the sun in front of the camera and it was near sunset.
