In The Sky There Is No Limit
I see them every time, always looking up at the sky
They seem to be praying to meet a godess eye to eye
Gazing and waiting at the alter for an answer from heaven
Faithful in their offerings, hoping for one of the seven

The disciples with little, are still willing to give it
Feeling so divine, for in the sky there is no limit
The touch of these eyes contacting the hope reaching out from theirs
They need the coveted smile to complete their passionate stairs

Teasing their desires makes them want for even more
Showing them just a little of what they hunger for
Stoking the fire then backing off the flames till each one begs
To see what the little kitty has nessled between these legs

Each night they are in awe of the moon up in the sky
Feeling free to dance on the clouds which drift from eye to eye
I know just when the time is right to give them what they come for
But never pet the kitty, petters get bounced out of the door

(by JJ Johnson)

Beyond The Mask
What ya want from me, ya wanna see my kitty?
Did you wanna pay in cash to tell me I look pretty?
And if I do a dance while I'm sittin on your lap
Do you care if I think your just one more lonesome heartless sap?

If you really want to know, I do it for the money
But no matter how big the bill, you'll never taste my honey
I'll only give you what I want, so don't bother to even ask
I will never let you see the tears beneath my kitty mask

I've got a job to do and lots of bills at home to pay
And I won't come home with you no matter what you say
So look at me, desire me, then go home and please yourself
But before you go out the door, don't forget to share the wealth

(by JJ Johnson)

Shear Beauty
I never before witnessed
a day or night prior to this one
Where the Moon came out so full
and outshined the searing Sun
With fragrant drops of rain
coming down from the clear blue sky
I gazed from under a shimmering rainbow
affirming shear beauty doesn't lie

Trash Man

HEY, did you see what I think I just saw?
Well I lied, there are dirty pictures here. Hey, I warned you not to come here if you couldn't handle it, BUT NO, you just had to know my what a bad boy I can be. It's all your fault ya know.....

Interview with a Stripper:

OK, the idea for writing a poem from a strippers point of view came about after a friend told me I had been too hard on a female friend (in "Expose Yourself" and "Bar Fly" below) who became a stripper to earn money to get through college. Then she decided the money was too good to quit and left her degree behind.

So I felt I needed to find out first, or second hand at least, what goes on in the mind of a stripper so that I could write about it with at least some knowledge of what I was writing about. A former stripper named Fawnia was nice enough to help me out with this project and agreed to do an interview with me. Her websites are listed at the bottom right of this page just below her banner photo for Instructional Dance Videos. There you can check out her credentials and find out more about this very talented woman and her remarkable life.

I wish I could say I chose her, but she came out of nowhere and signed my guestbook. So I took a shot that she would do the interview and whatdayaknow, she said yes. I was afraid she would think I was some kinda freak looking for some cyber sex or something.

I have written two poems for Fawnia based on the interviews, from pro and con perspectives, representing the beginning of her exotic dancing career and the end. "In The Sky There Is No Limit" and "Beyond The Mask" are the two I wrote for her and I have posted them at the top of this page.
This has proven to be more than a little fun, it has been an eye opening, learning experience....

I hope my Mom doesn't find out about this..... On the other hand, maybe she'll stop calling me all the time.

Expose Yourself (Mind Fux)
Taking tips to show what's under your pants
Is not a ladies way to dance
I see through this game you play
And I don't want to see you that way

As your friend I'll offer some advice
Find yourself or you may pay a price
Losing who you used to be
Also amounts to losing me

You like giving men a mental boff
Is that your way of getting off?
But I know what's underneath
A broken heart lies hidden beneath

You've donned the mask he wants you to wear
But it's too late now, he doesn't care
Expose yourself but that's the wrong part
You need only uncover your heart

(by JJ Johnson)

Expose Yourself & Bar Fly

"Expose Yourself" was written for the friend I mentioned above who started dancing in a strip bar while she was in college.
This bothered me and at the same time made me want to go see the show. But I suspected she had tremendous turmoil deep down in her heart that was making her feel the need to be intensely desired, but not necessarily loved.
She was a beautiful woman inside and out, but was not dealing with the realities of her life very well. Her ex-boyfriend was dating a stripper and I believe she decided to follow that path because she thought he would want her again, even though she was hurt by him and totally pissed at the depth of his deception.
Love is such a complex feeling it can make you do exactly the opposite of what you should do. She's the kind of woman I would have done anything for and would never have been foolish enough to do what her ex-boyfriend did, never! He made errors in judgment that go beyond mistakes. He knew what he was doing and was too selfish to make the right choices. He was only concerned enough about hurting her feelings to hide what he was doing behind her back, but not to stop doing them.
There are women I've met who I think are what I want in every aspect. She was one of those, a woman that was much more than marriage material, the essence of class, desire and womanhood. I haven't met a lot of women in my life who I think are on that level and only a few of them have been fortunate enough to fallen in love with men worthy of them.

"Bar Fly" is a poem I wrote for the same friend who was at the time dating a Bass player in a Rock band. She invited me to come out and see his band play one night at a local bar. So I went out with her and danced a bit. It was a lot of fun but there were guys eyeing her from every nook and cranny. Not that I'm surprised, I was one of them, but with her boyfriend standing up there on stage, I felt more like a body guard for her than a friend. What a hottie she is though....

Bar Fly
You'd think it was heaven
The way you fly to the bar
To be with your boyfriend
He wants to be a rock star

When you're a woman (Barfly, barfly)
Watch out where you go
Men don't care why (Barfly, barfly)
It's what you can do
It ain't who you know

You look great in this light
And I have only had two
Someone started a fight
He saw them lookin' at you

I want to tell you (Barfly, barfly)
Fly over my way
You know what to do (Barfly, barfly)
Can I buy you a drink?
'Cos I want to play!

Do you know how it feels?
Do ya wanna take a chance?
Baby take off those heels
C'mon let's get down and dance

You shake it so well (Barfly, barfly)
Get closer to me
We might go to hell (barfly, barfly)
Well I'm on my way
Will you cum with me?

(by JJ Johnson)

About the poem below:
I thought the name Fawnia would be interesting to research on the internet and found a poem over 400 years old that I felt would be cool to post for all to read.
I normally do not put poems by other poets on my site,
so it's gotta be good!

Fawnia by Robert Greene (1560-1592)
AH! were she pitiful as she is fair,
Or but as mild as she is seeming so,
Then were my hopes greater than my despair,
Then all the world were heaven, nothing woe.
Ah! were her heart relenting as her hand,
That seems to melt even with the mildest touch,
Then knew I where to seat me in a land
Under wide heavens, but yet there is not such.
So as she shows she seems the budding rose,
Yet sweeter far than is an earthly flower;
Sovran of beauty, like the spray she grows;
Compass'd she is with thorns and canker'd flower.
Yet were she willing to be pluck'd and worn,
She would be gather'd, though she grew on thorn.

Ah! when she sings, all music else be still,
For none must be compar'd to her note;
Ne'er breathed such glee from Philomela's bill,
Nor from the morning-singer's swelling throat.
Ah! when she riseth from her blissful bed
She comforts all the world as doth the sun,
And at her sight the night's foul vapour's fled;
When she is set the gladsome day is done.
O glorious sun, imagine me the west,
Shine in my arms, and set thou in my breast!

by Robert Greene (1560 - 1592)
