1. Change division head-to-head games to weeks 1,2,3,12,13,14.PASSEDIn the past we have tried to avoid division games in week 3 due to byes. Week 3 has Arizona Tennessee Indianapolis off. Week 11, has Washington off... Just so you are aware. (But considering Washington may be a fantasy juggernaut, having a division game in that week might be just as crippling to teams as week 3.) Having 3 teams off compared to 1 doesn't seem like a big deal. I think this was put in place when there were 6 teams off in week 3. I like the idea of playing all division opponents at the beginning and at the end. Not one of them in a 4 week span.Voting FOR: BM, BST, CJ, BUD, JK, BR, CZ Voting AGAINST: 2. Increase rosters by 1 spot (from 12 to 13)PASSEDIt is a misnomer to think that small rosters increase transactions. Yes, the free agent pool had more talent but there is no where to put them! With 12 man rosters you rarely want to drop anyone. With a larger roster the pool has less talent but you'll also have more garbage to dump. In fact, the 13th and 14th spots on owners rosters will most likely be used to pickup players for the upcoming week. Default Line-up is Last Recorded Line-upPASSEDChange the meaning of "default lineup". The default lineup should be the owners lineup from the previous week, not a lineup which needs to be resubmitted throughout the course of the season. Clarification of Error Correction ProcessPASSEDClarify the statute of limitations for correcting errors (scoring or otherwise). Scoring errors must be brought to the attention of league officials by Sunday kickoff of the following week, otherwise the score stands as posted on the website. It is the responsibility for owners to check their opponent's lineup and to verify their game scores.Voting FOR: BM, BST, CJ, BUD, JK, BR, CZ Voting AGAINST: 5. Require Posting of "Pre-Sunday" PlayersPASSEDEliminate the "I forgot" rule for Thursday and Saturday games. Open up Tuesday Claiming on the ForumIn the effort to speed up the flow of information, eliminate the "secret" claim process on Tuesdays and require claims to be posted on the forum. The reason for this is the turnaround for pick up notification has extended beyond Wednesday in some cases when the commissoner or webmaster are busy.Claim order by record will still be enforced. A disadvantage to this is that more successful teams might encourage lesser teams to pick up a player already claimed by an upcoming opponent or division rival. So what. Require Drops to be posted when players are claimedPASSEDThe justification for this is that owners have not informed of drops, and the website might lag behind a week or more without update. What this does is cause confusion of who might be available for pick-up. Providing written instructions on who to drop if certain players on the claim list is OK. A "drop order list" is also OK. What is not OK is withholding a drop to research the potential of a player about to be dropped. Voting FOR: BM, BST, CJ, BUD, JK, BR, CZ Voting AGAINST: 8. Overtime BonusFAILEDAdd a three point bonus to any player credited with scoring in overtime.Adds a watchability factor to a football game. Overtime Bonus - kickerAward a kicker only 2 or 1 point when game is decided by a field goal in overtime. (if voting yes, specify point total awarded.Voting FOR: BST Voting AGAINST: BM, CJ, BUD, JK, BR, CZ 9. Include "Return Yards" in player's combined yardage totals for bonus pointsThe NFL tracks a statistical category for combined yardage that includes rushing and receiving and return yards. This would increase the value of players that serve as kick or punt returners such as Tim Dwight, Brian Mitchell or Dave Meggett.Box scores now include this information. Voting FOR: BST, CJ, JK, Voting AGAINST: BM, BUD, BR, CZ 10. Special Reserve on Wednesday for Thanksgiving gamesPASSEDAllow special reserve to begin on Wednesday for the week of Thanksgiving. This is for all players, not those playing on Thursday.The justification is that Thanksgiving is not a work day and owners might be incommunicado if visiting families on Thanksgiving. This does not apply to other Thursday games as those fall on normal work days and kick off in the evening. Voting FOR: BM, BST, CJ, BUD, JK, BR, CZ Voting AGAINST: 11. Award bonus point at 50 yardsPASSEDAward initial bonus point at 50 yards rather than at 100 yards. Additional bonus point to be awarded at 50 point intervals as before.Pro: Increased scoring opportunities. Con: 50 yards is not an exceptional performance and does not deserve reward. Right of First Refusal on Special ReservesA team that has special reserved a player for the week has the right to add that player to his permanent roster claim provided he announces his intentions by midnight Tuesday. (or immediately after the Monday night game whichever is later) That way other teams that might be claiming that player on Tuesday would know that the right of first refusal would have been exercised.This intention to claim the player MUST be posted on the forum. Anyone without
access to the form should call someone who can post on forum by Tuesday midnight.
