Re-move was created to assist in file system support. It will create a text list of all the files in a selected folder to be printed for reference or viewing. It also has a copying feature. First Re-move compares two folders for similar files. Any files that are not in the first folder but are in the second will be moved over to the first. This feature was created to assist with the creation of a new system folder but is useful especially when working with large amounts of files. For example, with the new system folder created with the installation disk, there will be all new fresh extensions. The only problem is this new extension folder does not contain all of the extensions or items installed by other installation programs which might have been installed during some other software installation. Re-move would then take all of these items from the old folder and move them to the new folder leaving behind any old items not needed. Thus saving time in sorting though the files. Of course this is not guaranteed to be fool proof as identical extensions could be renamed, but should work well with most systems. Of course nothing works better then doing it by hand if you have the time, but it does get very time consuming when working with large amounts of files.

Re-move should work with any computer running System 7.0 or greater. It has only been tested on System 7.5.x and greater.
