The Western Diamondback is the largest western rattlesnakes, is gray/brown, or pink with brown diamonds. Conspicuous "coon-tail" alternating equal black and white ringed tail.   Arguably the most common large snake in AZ.

The Speckled Rattlesnake color varies from cream, gray, yellowish, pink or brown and usually harmonizes with the color of the rocky terrain  they are found in.

Sidewinders are know for their sideways locomotion, moving in an S-shaped curve. They can be colored cream, tan, pink or gray without a conspicuous pattern.

The Mojave has well-defined light-edged diamonds down the middle of their backs fading to bands toward the tail.  They can be colored greenish gray, olive-green, or occasionlly brownish or yellowish.

Crotalus lepidus klauberi

The Black-Tailed Rattlesnake's tail and snout are black and contrast with the rest of the body, their dorsum has black or brown crossbands or irregular outline, edged with whitish and central patches of light scales.

The dorsum is marked  with widely and regularly spaced narrow black or dark brown crossbands and has dark body bands conspicuous and contrasts strongly with the ground color. Protected species.
