Cyber `Ohana

I grew up in a village on the Big Island of Hawai`i of ~1000 people, who regarded one another as extended family. Moving to a metropolitan area was (and still is) an eye-opening experience for me.

While urban living has afforded me with opportunities for which I am grateful, I have deeply yearned for that close-knit community of my youth, where people interacted and cared about each other as individuals and valued the other, not for what they could get from the other, but what they could share together.

Little did I know that I would once again be gifted with the joys of Hawaiian community. Over the past few years, I have met `Net folks who over the past few years have left heartprints, by sharing their thoughts and hearts with me as individuals, as well as their creative talents with gracious generosity with all of us who appreciate nâ mea Hawai`i with a passion.
