Welcome to the MIB EVENT HORIZION Movie page...
As all SCI-FI fans know that when there is Infinite space, there is infinite terror!!!
The year is 2047: A rescue mission is sent to the outer reaches of our solar system to slavage the Event Horizion, a prototype spaceship for the last seven years. As the crew members search for survivors, they discover the terrifing secrets that lie within this mysterious ship...
Aboard the Daylight Space Station orbiting Earth, Dr. William Weir(Sam Neil)awakens suddenly from a nightmare about his dead wife, Clare(Holley Chant). Weir, a brilliant but troubled scientist, has been haunted for years by his wife's suicide and the disapperance of the Event Horizion, designed by Weir to research distant stars-instead, the crew and the ship vanished entirely. Now, seven years later, an automatic emergency beacon indicates that the Event Horizion has abruptly reappeared near the planet neptune. The message has been presumably sent by someone aboard the ship.
A mission launched to salvage the Event Horizion--and, it is hoped to rescue any survivors of the crew. The ship assigned to the mission is the USAC(United States Aerospace Command)Lewis & Clark, a search and rescue ship named for the famed leaders of an expidition that crossed North America in 1805. The Lewis & Clark has just returned from a mission, and her crew was looking forward to a well deserved leave. The order to head out to Neptune is not welcome news--but Captain Miller(Laurence Fishburne)leads a team of seasoned professionals: navigator(Joely Richardson);Emergency Technicians Peters(Kathleen Quinlan) and Cooper(Richard T. Jones),engineer Justin(Jack Noseworthy), Doctor(Jason Issacs): Pilot Smith(Sean Pertwee). They accept orders and embark with Weir on the 56 day journey to reach the Event Horizion.
Only when in space does Weir divulge the secrets of the Event Horizion. Weir reveals that everything they have heard about the ship is a lie, but they are also completely unprepared for the truth. He explians that the Event Horizion was the first spaceship developed for faster-than-light travel, a concept which, they all thought, was physically and technologically impossible. The ship disappeared without a trace when the gravity drive, her revolutionary engineering process, had been engaged. Uneasiness becomes anxiety when Weir plays the breif, fragmentary recording that is the only clue to the ships fate--a recording of terrifying human shreiks and wails.
At last they reached the Event Horizion, an eerie, cross-shaped vessel, ominously looming against the cloudy atmosphere of Neptune. Biomonitors(used to search for signs of life)give strange, abnormal readings. The would-be rescuers board the ship, as vast and silent as a deserted cathederal. Within its snaking corridors and containment chambers, they find the hint of a nightmarish fate that overtook its vanished crew--and discover a horror no one ever imagined, even among th deepest reaches of outer space.
