The author was born in São Paulo, S.P. in July 19, 1931. Arthur de Carvalho Sá 's daugther, an engineer and Lenira Guarnieri de Sá, her mother. She married in 1956 with Carlos Alberto Teixeira Pinto, a lawyer with whom she had two children, Carlos Teixeira Pinto Neto and Fernanda Teixeira Pinto. She lived in the city of São Paulo during most of her life, moving to Rio Claro, the land of her father, when her children married, in 1986. Arturita Teixeira Pinto is a retired styilist, during many years she has been an artist in different expressions. Plastic artist with awarded works in individual collective exhibitions, first as academic artist and now as modern and contemporary one. In literature, she has published some works. In December, 17, in 1998 she simultaneously published twoo books of poetry "Penas Apenas" (Only sorrows) and "Apenas vVda" (Just life) which are incribed at the "X National Contest of Published Works of ALECI-SL-MG. Both of her books were awarded with the first and the second premiun on that contest, when she was invited to become a member of "Language and Science Academy" of São Lourenço, MG. Self educated she writes poetry since 1986, but only in 1998 she decided to publish her works. She has been very much accepted and many times awarded in contests either in Brazil as well in others countries. Nowadays she writes cronics, tales and poetry. She received a premium for the best "Trova" (a kind of poetry) at the International Contest in 1999 of the UBT (São Paulo). Her works have been published in many anthologies in São Paulo and other states of Brazil. She comes from a family where there are many artists as ancestors:Camargo Guarnieri, a musicien and a composer, her uncle, Rossine Camargo Guarnieri e Rozina Guarnieri Marques, writers, Alice Camargo Guarnieri, a poet, and Maria Cecília, a plastic artist.. She belongs to many entities: CLIRC, Literary Center of Rio Claro where she lives, the N'ARTE, Núcleo de Artistas Plásticos de Rio Claro, to "The Writer's Club of Piracicaba (chair nº 124), and to REBRA, net of Women Brazilian Writers.
