Luci Collin (Lavalle), born in Curitiba, Paraná, in 1964. B.A. in Piano-Performance (1985) and in Classical Percussion (1990), also graduated in Languages and Literature (1989). In 1987 studied at Wright State University, Ohio, USA. MD in Literature with the dissertation "The Quest Motif in Snyder's The Back Country" (1994) on the contemporary American poet Gary Snyder. President of the Cooperative of Arts - PR (1984-85). From 1985 to 1993 worked as music teacher and played in several concerts as a soloist or as a member of orchestras. Also worked as a translator (1987-96). Since 1998 is a member of the Editorship State Council. Presently writes a doctoral thesis about the multidiscoursive composition of Gertrude Stein and works as a professor of Literatures in English at the Federal University of Paraná. Luci Collin is the writer who represents Brazil in the Literary Project of the EXPO 2000 in Hannover, Germany.
