Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky

Peter Tchaikovsky was a 19th century Romantic composer.
He lived in Russia and western Europe, and is famous for such pieces as
"Swan Lake," and the ballets "Sleeping Beauty" and "Nutcracker Suite,"
which remain extremely popular today.

He also composed numerous concertos, operas, and symphonies.

Tchaikovsky began his career as a lawyer and professor before devoting himself to composing.

Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky was Born in the Ural mountains of Russia.

1850 to 1859, he attended the school of Jurisprudence and studied piano.
In 1861, he attended classes with the Russian Music Society.  In 1862,
he entered the Saint Petersburg Conservatory. 

Begining in 1866,Tchaikovsky taught at the Moscow Conservatory while
composing many of his concertos and symphonies.

The music of the Nutcracker Ballet was composed by Peter Ilyich Tchaikovsky In 1892.
