Here is their
Wedding Pictures from August 9,1945
Dad was only 19 when they got married and
mom was 23 years old. Dad was in the Navy
They were married 53 years before the LORD took them home.
My DAD worked
for ITT NORTH , ELGIN ELECTRONICS, and ACME
ELECTRIC for many years. He had started a company down in MEXICO
for
ITT NORTH before he retired 10 years ago. Some of his work he
done
was used on a couple of the GEMINI Space Missions. He also work
among
the MEXICAN PEOPLE whom he loved. He also was a decaon at our
church and was on the school board on and off.
My dad also taught Sundy school for many years and was in charge
of the Young Peoples group.
He accepted
the LORD as HIS SAVIOUR when he was 27 years old.
He also had won many trophies for POWERLIFTING for his age group,
not only in the State of PA, but also Nationally. One year, both
my brother KEN,
and his one son GILBERT and my DAD won in all three catagories
that they
each represnted. They all came in FIRST. That was a first for a
3 year generation POWERLIFTERS.
My MOM, was
raised on a farm among her 4 brothers and 5 sisters.
She was saved in 1939 at a revival meeting. My mom has worked
in the school district while we were growing up as a Study Hall
monitor. (and beleive me we couldnt get away with anything) LOL
She also had JOY clubs, DVBS, she wrote most of the plays that
she put on
in our church for many years. She aslo was in charge of the
nursey department
and taught Sunday School for many years.
She loved to wallpaper and loved flower gardens. She had a very
large one
growing up. She always was a witness wherever she went. She also
took
people if they needed a ride to wherever that person needed to
go.
This is a
picture of our family,
Up in the left hand corner is my brother--Ken and his wife Louann
In the Left Lower Corner is--Me--Mary Jane and my husband Don
Up in the Right Hand Corner is my oldest sister--Barb and her
hubsand Ray
In the Right Lower corner is my youngest sister--Marilyn
and in the Middle is Our Parents
Whom we miss very much.
We love you Mom and Dad and one day we will be all together once again.
