"Good news ahead. I'm waiting for Ken's return to Heathrow on Monday before tying up loose ends but rehearsals have already been booked for next weekend here at Liscombe Park, prior to The Ken Hensley Band's appearance at the Sweden Rock Festival on June 8. I can tell you that Ken's band will include the award winning virtuoso guitarist David Kilminster [previously with John Wetton's band and one of the best guitarists in the UK, also a winner of "UK guitarist of the year"]. Also Andy Pyle, recently bass player with Gary Moore for 10 years, also bass player with Albert King, BB King, Wishbone Ash and he toured USA with Uriah Heep and Ken in 1972/73. On the drums it is likely we will use Dave Wagstaffe of UK proggers Landmarq. This is providing we can get him to Marseille the following day where Landmarq are headlining another festival. Ken, Andy and Dave all sing. In addition we have agreements with award winning rock singer Moon Gould [Classic Rock Vocalist of the year 1993] and are planning to announce a female vocalist special guest so that the 5-part vocal arrangements should be inspiring!!!!! There will be no time for jet lag so I hope Ken has been on UK time over the last week. We have to finalise Running Blind's vocal arrangements at Liscombe's studios, we have logistics to sort, a new band to rehearse, dates to plan, music executives to meet, etc etc etc and Ken needs to ensure his grass is mown as we've had plenty of sun and rain over the last week.
