This is
the Web Page for the Penang family. As a focal point,
Penang is where it all began, when 3 daughters were born
to Mr Yen Thim Tham and his wife, Mee Kin Woon. To trace histroy a little back, Mr Tham is 36th generation Tham (believe me, this is from historical family records). His father and his family migrated from China to Penang, Malaysia back in the 40s. Mee Kin's family also migrated from China to Penang, Malaysia. Yen Thim's family is from the Cantonese dialect group while Mee Kin's family is from the Hakka dialect group. Yen Thim met Mee Kin through her brother and they were only staying several doors from each other. They marry in Decemebr 1960. With time, this page will be expanded. |
