Summer 2000 Challenge New! Activities for the Summer Holidays
The unit was first registered in 1917, so we are celebrating our 83rd birthday this year. We meet regularly during school terms and also have a few 'lone guides' who cannot make it to meetings. If you are interested in joining (girls aged 10 - 14) please ask your parent /guardian to e-mail us with their contact details at ChelseaGuides@hotmail.com
Guides in the United Kingdom are members of
The Guide Association and of
The World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
Have you just joined Guides or are you thinking about becoming a Guide? Before you become a Guide and make your promise you need to find out a bit about what Guides do. You can look through our web pages to see what we do or visit The Guide Association website. When you join Guides you find out about what guides do by completeing eight pre-promise challenges. After completing these you will make your Guide Promise and become a Guide. When you make your Guide Promise one of things you promise to do is to keep the Guide Laws.
Guiding is fun but it is also about getting to know the world. These eight headings or Points help us to make sure that we are not missing anything in the world. Everything Guides do comes back to one or more of the Eight Points. You will find activities that cover one or more of the Eight Points in the activities section below.

What is the Summer 2000 Challenge? It is a series of challenges for Guides to do over the summer holidays, either with friends, with family, with their patrol or on their own.
