Ellimist: Hello, Jake. Do
you have time for an interview?
Jake: Yeah, sure. I have a minute.
Ellimist: For starters, your next book is called 'The Mutation'. What is it
about?
Jake: Well, underwater we find these people called the Nartecs. They are humanoid
but not totally human. That's about all I can say at this point.
Ellimist: You are the leader of the Animorphs. what's it like knowing, as Rachel
said, that "Visser Three would trade his blade ship" for your head
on a stick.
Jake: Scary. This is the ultimate paranoia. Knowing that any second a Hork-Bajir
could come into your house and slice off your head scares you a lot.
Ellimist: In book #41 you will wake up in a world when you are twenty-five and
the Yeerks have already one. Can you tell us more about that book.
Jake: No. I wish I could but the people at Scholastic have forbidden me to speak
of that book.
Ellimist: What is your favorite morph?
Jake: I don't know. It's either the tiger or the peregrine falcon.
Ellimist: And why do you like those?
Jake: I like the tiger's power and the fun of diving as a falcon.
