Note that the railway siding ran along the hilltop, which is where the power station is located. Meanwhile the gasworks was sited below the hill, in an area that was exposed to flooding during extreme circumstances. Terrace End Cemetery is not marked, however, it begins with the blank area as the top of the map, immediately above the power station. This drawing comes from a recently rediscovered collection of plans and drawings associated with development of the power station.
