Hanalei Bay (Home of Andy and Bruce Irons!)

Hanalei Bay is a better surf spot than it sounds. It is located just west of Princeville and consists of point breaks and beach breaks. The break I was fortunate enough to surf was dubbed Pinetrees by the locals. It is a hollow break that will take any north swell. The water in this part of the world averages 75 degees year-round so that makes it even more fun to be there. Pinetrees is a pretty consistent spot as long as there's a Northern swell. The peak doesn't shift much and there are enough peaks to make most people happy.
