I decided to put its links on the Specialy of the House Page to have an idea of this song and its two predecessors, The Saga Begins and American Pie.
About The Saga Begins
In this song, Weird Al is singing as Obi Wan Kenobi. He was obviously a Star Wars fan, and he watched movie; this is reason why he spoofed American Pie into a song about Star Wars. It was obviously shorter, too, considering American Pie is over eight minutes long.
The chorus was actually obvious that someday Anakin Skywalker will be Darth Vader, but in The Phantom Menace, he is said to be the Jedi Council's child to be the Savior. The rest is about Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon's adventures as stated in The Phantom Menace.
About American Pie
This song is actually about February 3, 1959 --- the day Ritchie Valens, Buddy Holly and "The Big Bopper" Richardson died in an airplane crash. American Pie refers to the airplane these three rock stars were riding. Also mentioned in the song are other events that happened on that day, not necessarily at the same time as the crash. Don McLean wrote the song especially for them. Recently, Madonna sang two-and-a-half stanzas of the song for the soundtrack of the movie The Next Best Thing starring her alongside Rupert Everett. As you read along the lyrics, the ones Madonna sang are marked in deep pink.
About The Satire of Ranma and Akane
The song is written because of inspiration from The Saga Begins, and the memory of Ranma ½, I which I never seen for about two years now. In this song, there are three unsung characters here, including the singer named Dangdut.
The chorus was patterned after the chorus of The Saga Begins. "Maybe a father somedtime later" means that Ranma will some be a father, but a more responsible father than his father Genma. "But now she's attracting guys" talks about his female side. The rest of the chorus is actually a vow to Akane, though they just hide it from each other, as denoted on the fourth stanza.
The first stanza is about the meeting between Ranma, Genma, and the Tendos. "The four Tendos were all appalled/ 'Was he a girl or boy?'" means that of the confusion the Tendos had.
The last stanza is about the future, when Ranma and Akane were finally married, Ryoga and Ukyo dumped their (Akari and Tsubawa, respectively) to court and marry the two unsung characters, and Shampoo and Mousse settling their arguments and finally settled their love. "For their curse is now broken" not only applies to Shampoo and Mousse, but also Ranma, Ryoga, and Genma, whose curses were broken, although in the far-off future, Genma will again fall in the same spring he fell in.
Because of lack time, it is up to you to interpret this song, especially about their enemies.
About Japones Pie
This song is about the day when the three Saber Marionettes where disintegrated together with the explosion of the Neo Mesopotamia in outer space. Good thing is that their spirits inside their female circuits were transfered to three human clones; thus they were reincarnated as the first female babies (in 300 years) afterwards. Mentioned in this song also are some events on Saber Marionettes J and Saber Marionettes J to X: Ieyasu; Hanagata's involvement (not including his development to homosexuality); the Marionettes' routine rescues to Otaru; Faust's dictatorial rule and how the Marionettes stopped him; Lorelei's test and Marionettes' job to stop those who invaded the palace while Hanagata was guiding a group of tourists there; Hanagata's singing (which wakes up the neighbors); the Marionettes' abduction, brainwashing, separation, and reunion with Otaru; and Lime's cooperation with Faust's former ally, Hessu, to fulfill her wish of being human.
Please take note that I talk in symbols and letters. Otaru was always referred in the parody as Mamiya. Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry were referred collectively as The Three and separately as Lemon, my pretty, sweety, Cherry, and Bloody Mary Wine respectively. Japones Pie, the title of this American Pie parody, actually refers to Lime because of her childish behavior.
