I Love Lucy, was and still is one of America's most popular and beloved television sitcoms. At first CBS didn't think the audience would believe Lucy and Desi (Ricky) were married, but since Lucy wouldn't do it without Desi, they decided to give it a try. One of the hard parts in creating the show was probably finding a sponsor. It took a while but finally Philip Morris decided to sponsor the show. The rest is TV history.
