Windows 95^® Startup Screen

Then download the Early Edition Windows 95 Startup screen!!!

What does it look like?

The "animation" in Startup screen is not true animation. Only the colours of selected areas change - not the shape of the areas. The Startup screen will look like this...

The animation will have the words "Early Edition" on the right hand side cycling through repeatedly from top to bottom. I got the various images from here and there and put together the above picture with Photoshop. (Sorry I can't find any picture of Marissa that would look even decent for the screen!)

If you are interested in getting the original picture from which the Startup screen is created from, click on the picture above. This should give a better idea what it looks like than the small gif above.

Installation Instruction:

1. Download and save the Startup screen file logo.sys here. (Right click on the link and choose Save As...)
2. Place it in the root directory of the drive of your boot drive. Make sure it is called "logo.sys". (I strongly advise you rename your existing logo.sys file. Just in case you don't like what you see and want your old Startup screen back.)
3. Re-boot your PC. You should be able to see the new Startup screen.
