Alan Granger:
Alan Granger is the human disguise form of Alan. He is in grade 10 at Crossroads
Jr. High. He often speaks very softly, and is pestered a lot by his jealous
sister, Anne. He is from France, as is his sister, and is often very reclusive.
While on earth with Anne, he falls in love with Serena on first sight. Anne
is of course, jealous of this, and though he reassures Anne his heart belongs
to her, he knows that he still loves Serena a lot. He plays the flute, which
earns him many admirers, mostly female. In fact, ALL female.
Anne Granger:
Anne Granger is the human disguise of an alien named Anne. She is in grade 9 at Crossroads
Jr High, and is posing as a human, just like Alan. She gets jealous whenever
Alan is with other girls. She is from France, as is her brother,
and is very reclusive, until Serena tries to befriend her. While on earth, she
falls in love with Darien. Alan rarely seems to suspect anything however, but
Anne loves Alan in her heart.
Alan and Anne: Alan (right) and Anne (left) are two aliens from
another planet, located in the Negaverse. They arrive intent on getting
energy for their plant, the Doom Tree. Thier method of gathering energy is
using monsters called Cardians, which come out of cards with the use of
Alan's flute melody. They are children of the Doom Tree, and are in love.
Are they directly related? It's hard to say. No statements are made to prove
or disprove this matter in the show. Most likely they are not related, being
children of something that created them, so who knows.
Doom Tree: This is the
Doom Tree. It is an energy draining plant, and is a highly evolved organism.
Long ago, it lived on a planet that was all ocean. It realized that it needed
to be kept company, so it created a race of beings from its pods. The beings lived
in peace with the Doom Tree, but not for long. Evil beings came to the tree's
planet, and began to corrupt the peace. Ultimately, the Tree's planet was destroyed,
and it escaped with its remaining followers. When all the followers died, except
for Alan and Anne, it was too weak to teach them about real love and compassion.
Though Alan and Anne used monsters to gather human energy for it, all it really
needed was to be loved, and that's what would have made it strong again.
