Climate of Yakutia (Sakha) Republic

Winters are cold, dry, and windless. Summers are short, with intermittent heat waves. Average temperatures renge from -40°C (-40°F) in January to +13°C (55°F) in July. The growing season ranges from 60 to 130 days. verkhoyansk has recorded temperatures ranging from -70°C (-94°F) to +35°C (95°F), and Yakutsk, the capital, from -64°C (-83°F) to +38°C (100°F).
